Today I decided to tackle the deck, which needed a good cleaning. I wanted to sweep out all the leaves, hose down the seats to get the pollen out, and especially clean up the deck boxes for the herbs we already purchased.
It took the better part of the day because we also had work but we got everything hosed down. I tilled the soil in the pots and added more fertilizer to a few. Surprisingly, our thyme survived the winter and bloomed last month, as did some of our cilantro and peppermint. They still needed a little grooming to look pretty again. We washed down the cushions on the swing, but I personally would like to break it down and get rid of it. I would like to go and get two chairs with cushions that really fit my antithetical design. We’ll see what we do there…
